Galaxy breaks sales records

Super Mario Galaxy has the highest review average of this generation (Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3), and is now the fastest selling Mario game.
"Super Mario Galaxy had the strongest one-week debut of any Wii game to date and has also become the best-selling Mario title ever in its first week, with U.S. sales of more than 500,000, based on internal sales figures," said George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. "It makes an easy gift choice as the holiday shopping season kicks off."

Wii's Birthday

It was one year ago today that the Nintendo Wii was released. Since then it and the Nintendo DS have topped the sales charts every month, except for September, which belonged to Halo 3 and the Xbox 360.

Super Mario Galaxy: the best video game of all time?

Currently Super Mario galaxy holds the top spot on Game Rankings. Game rankings takes the average score of a game and ranks them on an "all-time" list. Nintendo already had developed 3 other titles that are in the top ten, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Metriod prime, and Super Mario 64.

I finished Galaxy

I have beaten Super Mario Galaxy, kind of. I have collected 61 stars and have conquered Bowser for the third and final time, and thanks to the Wii's daily timer, I can tell you that it took me exactly 15 hours and 51 minutes. But there are 120 total stars in the game. The Goal to collect the last 59 stars is said too be much more difficult.

Galaxy Playtime

Since I put the disc into my Wii I have played 6.5 hours of super Mario galaxy and have collected 29 out of 120 total stars. My experience with this game has been pure fun. Thinking about playing more just brings a smile to my face. If you own a Wii buy this game, if you don't own a Wii, go out and buy one! and get Super Mario Galaxy too!

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Countdown Widget

Super Mario galaxy is here, and I'm loving it!
Having said that, my most anticipated unreleased Wii game is now Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Galaxy Quest

my quest to pick up super Mario galaxy
a long time ago, in a galaxy far away- I put five bucks down and reserved Super Mario Galaxy at Gamestop.
A week ago- call Gamestop, employee says game will be available on the 12th at 10:00 am.

6:50 pm- call Gamestop again, employees says "no it's actually the day after tomorrow, bud."
11/12/07
8:00 am- call Wal-Mart, employee Not sure when they get it in. today at noon possibility.
10:00 am go to northside wal mart, no game in yet, stop by gamestop and pay off my reserved copy.
10:30 am- call circuit city, employee says they have 34 in stock.
11:00 am- arrive at circuit city, false alarm, no game.
1:00 pm- call Wal-mart again, employee says they have them in stock, on the shelves ready to purchase.
1:25 pm- purchase game at Wal-Mart!
1:44 pm- updating blog
1:45 pm now playing!
6:00 pm- Enjoying every minute of the game, very fun, sounds great, and looks great too!

3:00 pm- gamestop gives me cash refund for my copy of the game. (a big surprise, usually I would have received store credit)
